The Other Forth Bridges

This is a view over the River Forth a few miles upstream from the bridges that we normally think of as the Forth Bridges, at the village of Kincardine.

The nearer of the two bridges is the original, the Kincardine Bridge. The central section can be raised to let ships pass under the bridge - though when that was last done I do not know.

To the left is the much newer Clackmannanshire Bridge, an elegant span of concrete curving across the river.

And of course, there's other stuff in here. Grangemouth. The River Forth itself. The Ochil Hills.
