Who am I to disagree?

Nice Hairnet

So on the 5th of November I had my first appointment at QEII since my detached retina op in April and as I'd been warned a cataract had formed on the eye and my agenda was purely to push for a cataract op asap. No arguments from the consultant and he was hopeful I should get one within three months. Ten days later I had a telephone consultation with the ward sister; two days ago I saw the ophthalmic specialist to calculate the lens I'd require and today at Lister Hospital the operation. All went well, tomorrow the bandages come off and I'll have a good idea of how well.

Thanks to the NHS for such speedy attention, thanks to the ward and theatre staff who actually make it an enjoyable experience, with a special mention to Donna who stroked my hands as I tensed up while the "nasty anaesthetist" applied the one bit of minor discomfort - what a wimp!!. Thanks also to all those that wished me well.
