Black-crowned Night Heron

A glorious, sunny day spent walking around Carcass Island from the Elephant Flats in the north to Leopard Beach in the south, climbing en route to the highest point on the island, Mount Byng at 723 feet. I saw this heron fishing close to the settlement.
