Pittenweem Harbour

9.1C bright with a very light breeze.

We had read in "Art Mag" that it was the Pittenweem artists and galleries weekend so we decided to have a trip to Pittenweem (East Neuk of Fife)and look round the open studios and see the artist's exhibitions. It was cold when we left home but had reached the giddy heights of 6C when we arrived so we decided that Maeve the Deerhound could manage without her coat.

We had a walk along the seafront first to enjoy the low morning light coming in over the Firth of Forth and the views to the Isle of May, Bass Rock, and to Traprain Law over on the opposite coast. Then we visited a number of studios and galleries, taking turns to stay outside with Maeve if Apothecary7 thought I would like to see the exhibition. There was lots of good work to see. Most enjoyable and we did come away with one or two very small things. I particularly enjoyed the display of lino cut prints in one of the galleries.

We took Maeve back to the car and went back up to one of the cafes for some lunch and very much like yesterday in St Andrews had a short walk with Maeve after lunch before setting off for home.
