Green in front

We had a very nice day today that was capped off by a fabulous meal at Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant. We had worked up quite an appetite exploring the nearby Albert Cuypmarkt, which is a very busy street market that sells everything!

K enjoyed seeing the many edibles at the market (especially the herring), and sampled the chicken wings. I enjoyed “window shopping” for textiles, clothing, shoes, boots, handbags, and everything else. Of course there were also several flower stands, bike shops and restaurants that served lunch and coffee. My daughter has a sixth sense for shopping and even though she didn’t know that we were going to the market, she called while we were there. Little R gave me trans-Atlantic birthday kisses and wishes over the phone. So sweet.

These green leggings were at a stall a little more than halfway through the market. Close match up, but notice how Green is edging ahead of Gold? Premonition for tomorrow’s headlines? Green and White edges out Gold and Black!
