St Andrew's Square, Edinburgh

Whatever next! A whirly-gig that reaches high (nearly 200 feet) above the buildings of St. Andrew's Square so that the whirlees feel they are about to be launched in a perfect parabola over Princes St. Garden's to land on Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. It would save a bus fare, or even a tram fare...now there's a thought, we could scale this monster up even further and put it out at the airport...the tram would then have a little more competition, at least!

STOP PRESS: The devil in Dd has just taken us up in this when the sky was ink black and we flew, it seemed, like Peter Pan over all of Edinburgh! Recommended!

Arrived in Edinburgh just before sunset and in time to catch the festive mood building in the centre despite the damned damp cold.
