CelloNerd in Concert!

More accurately, CelloNerd post-concert!

She's flashing her wonderful smile and embracing her bright green cello case after the Bayshore Symphony's concert in Bellingham this afternoon. I was among those in the audience enjoying J.C. Bach's Sinfonia, Op. 18, No. 2; Telemann's Don Quixote Suite; Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances; and my favorite, Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite.

CelloNerd is also a fine second alto in a local women's choir, which is where we met some years ago. This is the first time I've heard her play her cello, and I have to say that the cello section was the best in today's concert! You can see the five fine female cellists on CelloNerd's blip for today.

She's done very well in Blipfoto, too -- her July 4 blip was selected as a Blipfoto staff pick and CelloNerd was the recent first-ever winner of a Blipfoto goody bag!
