Urban Starscape

I looked out of my backdoor to see a beautifully clear sky full of stars forming a backdrop to the large oak in the road next to the garden. I'd like to try shooting a star trail, but being in the middle of a housing estate the noise polution would probably be too great for a successful photo (and that's before you consider the exposure required of multiple 30s shots taken over several hours according to some sources!).

However, the street lights were lighting up the tree nicely, and with the clear sky being a somewhat rare occurance over the last week or so, I took the opportunity of at least trying for a decent shot. So with some post-processing in LR5, here is my Urban Starscape
