Klausjagen

Not my usual type of picture...

We went to see the "Klausjagen" (Klaus/Nicholas chase), a strange parade that involves lots of cracking massive whips, a brass band, hundreds of guys walking with hugh clanging cowbells, guys blowing cow horns, for sure St. Nicholas and these guys here with candle-lighted hats that are up to seven feet tall.
The spectacle goes on all night and we will see if the town is littered with drunk zombies in the morning.

Only men are allowed to walk in the procession but as somebody said, hey, at least swiss women have the right to vote in the meanwhile (at canton level the last canton budged to give women the right to vote in 1990...)!
