Hay Lorry

Being stuck behind a lorry loaded with hay on the road north of Wooler was not the annoyance it usually is.The load always looks a bit precarious and thoughts do tend to veer towards a possible disaster while passing. However today we were quite content to sit behind it for a while so that I could blip it, and we did pass safely eventually.
We spent last night in Thirsk in one of the oldest coaching houses in England. The floors were uneven with quite a slope to them and it was a bit like being at sea or being a bit tipsy getting from one side of the bedroom to the other.
I almost blipped a sweetie shop in the market square which had the biggest selection of sweets in jars that I have ever seen. I was tempted to ask the owner if he had shares in the local dental practice.
So now we are home again to a backlog of mail and 3 weeks dirty washing. But it's still great to be back with wonderful memories of our holiday, meeting friends and cycling in France.
