On top of Singapore's 'supertrees'

We had the last of the breakfast in the hostel this morning. There is a frying pan to cook your own eggs. It feels weird as it is almost like we are back in civilisation. However, Little India the area we are staying in feels super dodgy as there are masses of Indian men everywhere and hardly any women around. We have been told it is safe though as the laws are super strict here. Wandered around the city today. We took a MRT into the centre. Got some free tasters of popcorn and cookies on the way! We got a fresh orange juice and sat near a cool artificial pond. We then wandered further and must of looked like fools as we saw the marina bay sands building and we were amazed as we both had never seen it before, even in pictures. We found a super cool shopping mall and decided to treat ourselves. We got a hot chocolate and some macaroons at a macaroon cafe. They were super good and we felt pretty full. Send a snapchat to Emily of the macaroons as I had Internet and she was very jealous! Wish she could be travelling with me. Haven't seen her since February. Morag and I both felt very full after them. We found our way to Marina Bay sands. Took masses of photos of us both. The shopping mall was absolutely incredible. It has a river running through it with a couple of boats going up and down! When it began to get dark the mall looked even cooler because through the glass you could see all the skyscrapers. We went to la senza so I could get a bra and so that Morag could get some underwear. We decided which ones we wanted and then the lady told us about this deal. So we then went along with this deal....basically we hate la senza and we spent way too long in there. Also, the deal just confused us both a lot!
We dressed up in the shopping malls toilets so we would be let in somewhere nice. Wore my long tie die dress. We wandered around the city and we went right under the big marina bay sands building. Have a funny picture that makes us look like we have a UFO above us that is actually the building. We walked to the 'supertrees' which are artificial trees with amazing lights. They look amazing in the dark. We then came across one that you could go up. So we paid a little to much to go to the top of it. We had an amazing view from the top (which is the picture). It was definitely worth the money in the end. We ran back to try and get the MRT as we suddenly realised it was 11.30. Just made it!
