Speirs Wharf

This afternoon I had to go to the bank and then get some items from Bookers, which is near Speirs Wharf.

As it was such a beautiful day I decided to take a few shots around the canal at Spiers Wharf. During the 19th century Speirs Wharf was at the hub of Glasgow's industrial revolution and included Grain Mills, a Sugar Refinery and warehouses.

This area is now sought after and the warehouses have been turned into flats and office spaces. At the end of wharf there is a cafe and delicatessen that serves reasonably-priced snacks and meals and is licensed.
