Birds Eye View of Wanaka

This morning my daughter and I set off in the rain to climb as far as we could in an hour. She is beginning to train to walk the Milford Track in April 2014. We made it to the first fence along the track. We were pleased that it wasn't too hot, and as you can see it was a pretty nice view, (even though it was raining). Points of interest are: Mt Iron in the background, Roy's Bay, where the village is, and Ruby Island set like a jewel in the lake.
