Red Squirrel at Loch of Kinnordy

A trip to Loch of Kinnordy for a Green-winged Teal, a scarce visitor from North America. It was a rather elusive individual, but eventually revealed itself to give RCB his blip today.

So having been pleased to find one North American visitor my blip today is of a Red Squirrel at Loch of Kinnordy who isn't quite so chuffed about another North American visitor, the Grey Squirrel. Our native Red has reduced in numbers considerably since the introduction of the Grey, however aggressive Grey Squirrel control and habitat management has helped stabilise and in places increase the red squirrel population. C'mon you Reds.
