Saturday 9 June 2007: Agnes Jensen

I wasn't joking when I mentioned growing up next to a mysterious grave in the woods. The neighbors who own this land placed these tasteless plastic flowers here years ago. Agnes deserves better.

Anything I could gather about her I've deduced from her gravestone. She was most likely a Swedish immigrant. Probably the daughter and wife of farmers. She died young.

It might be interesting to research her genealogical records, but to me the idea of a mysterious grave is more fun. Maybe she'd want it that way.
