Star in the sun

We decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year. There will be no children around.
But when I today found the box of my old tree decoration pieces I took them outside and gave some of the trees in the yard a little decoration. Blue sky, snow, sunlight on the needles, it looked too pretty not to be "preserved" with a blip.
I love these little stars made of straw, have them in all kinds of shapes. It is an old fashioned way of decorating ( these straw stars, small apples, bee wax candles and some walnuts that my daughter had painted gold…)
