Day 69 – Drag Hunting, Ottawa

The day after Thanksgiving is the biggest day of the year in the hunting calendar. Janine is a keen hunter (drag hunting, where the hounds chase a scent rather than a fox) and Art was tasked with driving us around all afternoon following the hunt to take photos! We did get to help out a bit too, by being drag runners with Art. This involved running through fields dragging a cloth soaked with fox urine! The fox urine is imported from America and I cannot tell you how much it stinks!! Despite the smell it was a fun day and great to see the hounds following the scent we had laid for them.
