Stirling Castle - the Royal Palace

We spent a couple of hours at the castle this morning on a very cold and blustery day. The refurbished royal palace is really superb and a return visit will be made I think. seeing the Stirling Heads in place is worth the visit alone but the apartments have all been made to look quite grand and spectacular. This is a corner of the Queen's bedchamber in rich and warm reds.
There s also a very good interactive area for children which allows dressing up in costumes of the times of Mary Queen of Scots, thoroughly enjoyed by 7 year old Eliza who is spending christmas with us.
