Christmas Mince Pies

Rather a lot of foodie blips recently, but that's the way it goes at Christmas. Welcomed guests to the cottage today - they arrived within 15 minutes of their expected time, which was just perfect and allowed me to go home and relax. Family had our traditional venison dinner for Christmas Eve, which started way back when we all used to gather at my Mum and Dad's in Harrogate and one year they made venison stew in giant Yorkshire puddings.
