Manderins
Ever wondered how they get the little skins of the manderins in tins?
Dump them in a big chemical bath (a base fluid) which slowly makes the skin dissolve. After that they neutralise the water and parts with an acid. So ... now you know.
There is a very interesting program in the Netherlands (Keuringsdienst van Waarde) which goes around the world gathering interesting information about all kinds of things about food so they can tell and entertain us!
