christmas day

we had a wonderful day. it was the first time i've had a big proper christmas in my house - 9 adults and 6 kids- and i loved every minute.

the morning was nice and quiet with just us and g's parents, the kids loved their santa presents (bella got a desk and chair, and laurie a few trucks) then all my folks came for the afternoon/evening. the meal all went according to plan, had lots of help to get everything to the table at the right time, and with the clearing up. everyone seemed to enjoy it so i was delighted with that. all the children were brilliant, considering all the excitement/tiredness/spoiling/chocolate, there were no tears or fallo-uts at all. a really special day.
