I didn't realise this robber fly was laying eggs on the netting of one of my vegetable beds until I looked at the images on the computer. So, still being light, I went outside to see if I could find them – luckily I brought my glasses with me, as I needed them to see the tiny eggs.

And I was going to have a blip free day today too... that's what happens when you can't water the garden without a camera on your shoulder...
