Home Again - West Pier

Arrived back in Brighton to find the boiler had expired sometime over Christmas. House freezing, but "Brighton Boilers" to the rescue this morning.

Tottered out on frozen limbs to exchange some book tokens - bought Roger Watson & Helen Rappaport's "Capturing the Light", the story of the two men that invented photography - at the same time, in different countries - Henry Fox-Talbot and Louis Daguerre. Part detective story - who got there first? part biography. A good read.

On the way back to Hove I passed by the West Pier to find the guard rail had been blown down in the storms, so couldn't pass up the chance of a photo of the West Pier, from...the West Pier!
