a cobbler should stick to his last

this one obviously didn't - found this on the bulky waste today. i guess, an old cobbler died a few houses down the street and today they cleared his apartment.

i 'rescued' two pair of last and his account book from 1947 - there were so many beautiful things: his tools, bills etc.
really makes you wonder whose wooden feet i got here...

so sad that none of his family claimed any of his tools. so it's up to us to cherish his things.
