Before the Marathon

After watching my good friend run the NY Marathon last year, I thought, "I am SO going to do that!" I did not get in to the NY Marathon via the lottery though so I went looking for another marathon I could do and found the inaugural Nike 26.2 Women's Marathon in San Francisco. I had never been to San Francisco, but had always wanted to, so I decided to sign up. I trained for the marathon in virtual secrecy, telling only my friend and Mr. Apple, in case I didn't succeed. Here I am in Union Square for the expo and race packet pick-up.
