My special roses and alstroemeria

These are the beautiful flowers I received from my dearly beloved for my birthday. The house seems full of flowers at the moment. I don’t know quite what I’ve done to deserve them all, but I’m not complaining! Over the last few weeks, I seem to have photographed rather a lot of cut flowers, so many in fact that I found it quite a challenge to come up with an interesting way of photographing them, made even more acute by the fact that I’m no flower arranger! Hence the border. A couple of days ago, I tried to express the exuberance of the colour of one of my birthday bouquets - Birthday Bouquet 1. With this one I tried really hard to express the elegance of the flowers.
