Wednesday 7 October 2009: Small Missing Piece

My grandmother, who passed away last summer, has been on my mind lately. Perhaps because this was her favorite time of year. In any case, I've been missing her. The other day when I picked up my daughter from school, Debussy's "Clair de Lune" came on the radio. Just as I was thinking it, my daughter said aloud, "This is the song E. played when we were at Ohio." It was indeed a piece my grandmother had chosen for her own funeral and that was played by my cousin, who is an accomplished pianist. I think my gram would be tickled to know my daughter recognized it nearly three months later.

Windy, rainy day. This was the only autumn color I was able to capture.
