Tiny Tussock reporting

The walkers went to the Blue pools today and as this is a DOC (Department of Conservation) controlled area, dogs are not allowed (except stuffed ones) so Big T stayed home and played with The Bossess’s sister and I went with The Boss.

This is a lovely walk and accessible off the Wanaka Haast highway where thousands of tourists walk the 300 metres to the pools which have not been blue since severe flooding many years ago but The Walkers carried on past the bridge towards the Young River, stopping short of this for lunch.

The return involved an emergency stop at The Makarora store for icecreams then back to Wanaka.

This is a typical bit of track and will give you all an idea what a delight it is to walk in this area where I am pleased to report that there is not a single sandfly to be found.

They are all married with huge families. Heh heh heh

L for larger sandflies. Oh NO!!!
