Behemoth

The sunspot AR1944 continues to develop and has dozens of dark cores or Umbra. The largest core is more than three times the size of the Earth. Current forecast for flares has a 75% chance of M class and a 30% chance of X class.
I was lucky to get this image as the Sun poked through cloud very briefly at about 11.30 then disappeared for good and rain set in!
