raw ingredients..

..for tonight's dinner.
Apart from the pasta, and more to come on that!, the rest is all from the Sunday's Farmers Market and the herbs from the home garden.
The leaves however are not the baby spinach I thought I had bought...I MUST wear my specs more often when shopping. They are bok choy, so a bit of a stranger to the usual plateful.

And the pasta does have a twist too, and this is what the Casarecce is all about
Casarecce originates from Sicily, but is also typical of other regions in the centre-south of Italy. This tasty shape, whose name means ‘homemade’, is an interpretation of the Arabic "pasta busiata" obtained with the "bus", the thin reed of a plant that in the past was used to wrap up the pieces of dough.
