Late Light

The weather today has been a continuous battle as the southerly fought with the Northerly and they generally considered it a draw.
The executive summary was “Take a jacket” so The Boss did. He considered that my curls would suffice and they did. AND altho we went out specifically with the big camera it was on the way back from the movies (Philomena with Judi Dench) that this pic happened. Tthey declared it a wonderful watch and I stayed home and convinced The Bossess’s Sister M that I could indeed be feed before they came home as they would surely have something at the theatre. I was and they did but it was only one of the Paradiso’s famous cookies so there was a top up when they got home. Them NOT me…Altho I did try “The Look” but unfortunately “M” had spilled the beans and not The Eucanuba….Sigh.

The Paradiso is Wanaka’a famous movie place and was started some years ago with an old film projector and a building filled with recycled seating and a Morris mini car with the roof cut off. It migrated last year to a new site in a reconditioned Church and still features recycled seating of slightly better quality, several couches and 2 cars (both Mini’s) with one in a dark back corner of the theatre for the serious lovers? But a brand new digital projector and great sound and a café which produces the most marvellous cookies hot from the oven at half time. YES there is half time (The projector is just switched off) and it remains off until the last customer has been fed and watered and the wine glasses and real icecream spoons returned and The owner appears on stage and yells to check that all are ready to continue. This is a must see when in Wanaka. We all love it. Oh except Dogs are not allowed. **^%$#!!

The flying banner on the lamp post advertises “Challenge Wanaka” our prestige sporting event in a fortnight with running, swimming and cycling. The Boss loves getting pictures so stay tuned.
