NSA disguised as Mole Catchers?

Although I wanted to stay at home and make use of the splendid warm weather, I had to go to Erkheim to get some bits & pieces. Again took the opportunity to try out a new walk with the dogs.

From a distance saw this vehicle parked on a grass track and thought it looked interesting as I have an unfulfilled dream (not sure if it really still is) of packing a crate of Heinz Baked Beans and taking off to explore Europe using a camper. At first, I thought it was from the army as it was clearly robust & 4WD. As I approached it from the rear and saw the sand ramps attached to the back and the colour thought it must be a fanatical round the world traveller but when I got to the side and saw the logo "EMR - European Mole Research" things became even less clear! I have tried a quick google at home but have found nothing. One of the sites found is a maker of campers called EMR but that's pure chance - on the Blip one can see in large EMR underneath the words "European Mole Research" and to the right a logo with a mole in the middle surrounded by the words " Nile Aery Everglades Commissioner". On the cab doors, there is additionally "Brüssel Genf Aschau" ie Brussels, Geneva and Aschau a 6000 inhabitant parish near Rosenheim, east of Munich.

Walked around the vehicle, there was a window open and later saw someone moving inside but had no contact. 50 meters away there were a quite normal series of molehills in the field but no sign anyone had been prodding about.
Will have to mole around to try & find out more.

Then things went downhill - hadn't driven the Jeep for a while, Angie having used it a few times since Christmas for short journeys. The low fuel sign was on when I started & thought nothing of it as I only had 6km to drive. Went past the 1st petrol station in Erkheim which is often expensive and parked 100m away for the walk. Then drove 1/2km to the supermarket with the second petrol station just across the road but strangely more expensive. Did the shopping, returned to the car and ... the car wouldn't start. Thought it could be the lack of diesel, walked over to the petrol station and borrowed a can. Again it didn't want to start but I seemed to remember there is a problem with diesel and airlocks. Well, eventually it started just before the battery went flat. Drove 100m to another shop, got the bits and wanted to set off home.... wouldn't start. This time I managed to run the battery right down. Luckily it's an agricultural food and machine dealer so borrowed some jump leads and fork truck. It started within a millisecond of turning the key. Got home safely but I suspect something is dying under the bonnet, possibly the turbo - Grrrr sounds expensive. Was almost dark by the time we got back, so that was a wonderful wasted day.

I still haven't got up to speed on commenting, falling victim to the sofa last night...... will try again tonight. Now out to prepare horse's beds.....
