A World Champion

Not every day that you get to photograph a World Champion. This is Asbel Kiprop from Kenya, the 2013 World 1500m Champion and 2008 Olympic 1500m Champion. He is in Edinburgh for the BUPA Great Cross Country race tomorrow. He and a few fellow athletes turned out to promote the race at a photocall in Holyrood Park this lunchtime, well wrapped up against the cold as you can see. We chatted about the weather, as you do, and speculated that, cold as it might feel, it was unlikely to be as cold as some previous years when the snow was thick on the ground.
