Lighting up the sky

For the first time in ages here in Argyll there was a red diffused sunset, although the day has mostly been wet.

I had just got home, prior to going out again to an event in Glasgow, and was thinking about my blip so I walked into the garden to take a picture. But then I noticed higher up in the south this golden cloud, obviously illuminated by the setting sun.

It was a lovely, and strangely hopeful, contrast particularly after so much bad weather of late.
