Aussie Rules at the Telstra Dome...

Met Moneka's step father. He came across to fix Moneka's car. He brought Julia (pronounced Yoo-lia) who came with us today. We went into Frankston whic is the next town around the bay from Seafod. I drove to get a bit more practise in. We just sauntered round shops and Tam bought a St Kilda scarf for the football match tonight. I found a skateshop as well so I got a new belt.

Headed back via Moneka's mum's house to drop of ingredients for cabbage noodles which Moneka's step dad is making for us tomorrow night. Moneka's step dad has a funny twang in his accent. It's mostly Australian but there is something else in there. Tam reckons he's from Yugoslavia or somewhere.

In the evening, got the train to Flinders Street station for the football at the Telstra (some telecoms company) Dome. We took a wee walk through Melbourne before going to the football match. Saw a tie my dad would love.

The Telestra Dome is huge and has a closeable roof. The roof was closed over as it could possibly rained. St Kilda Saints, Tam's team, beat the Sydney Swans. I'll always remember the woman sitting the row in front of us by herself givin' it lalldy. She had a radio to listen to the commentary, was in full St Kilda battle gear and was screaming encouragement all through the match.
