40 Years ago Today

Here I am out on the West coast of Guernsey, in the Parish of St Peters. What a perfect day to blip this. Actually it's rough and raining, but the tide is down and so you can get over the the tiny Island of Lihou, you can only get there when the tide is low, and have to be back before it rises to a certain height, there are times when you can't get across at all best look Large to be able to see the Island. But really that is by the by, I wanted to blip the 'MV Prosperity Monument' it was on its final trip before going to the breakers yard, but it never made it that far on the night of the 16th of January 1974 she was driven onto 'La Conchee Reef and sank' all 18 lives were lost. I have put a link on for more information.
Very sad day for so many people.
