Carburettor diaphragm

The lad is having trouble with his scoot. For want of a new inner ear I can,t ride it. I'm guessing it's fuel starvation from his description but I wouldn't know for sure. I took his carbon to pieces and cleaned the jets. The diaphragm looks worse for wear but should be OK. It failed to cure the issue anyway.
