Filling Up

The Washington, DC area is under a winter storm warning with potential of up to 6" of snow. Added to that, temperatures will stay well below freezing for the next couple of days topped off by some strong wind.

It is odd how the squirrels seem to know that there is going to be a change. There must have been 6 of them out in the yard this afternoon frantically digging up acorns that they buried last fall. In order to help them (and help me get this blip), I scattered about a pound of peanuts around the bushes and they quickly grabbed them up.
