A beautiful evening in the Red Zone

At least 6,000 homes are being demolished in the red zone. The Government has bought the land and either it or the insurance companies have bought the houses (depending on the level of damage).
As yet we don't really know what will happen to the land but at present it is not suitable to rebuild on. We are hoping for parks and nature reserves, much of the land is by the river or other water.
This is just around the corner from where I live and most of my street and suburb are going.
