random rancid rambles

Blackwater Cemetery

No low snow for skiing so a walk up to the dam. These graves are mainly from 1908, and lie in a nicely enclosed area near the site of the shanty town for the dam workers, there is just one woman resting here. Patrick McGill documented conditions here in his novel "Children of the Dead End".

We walked up the Ciaran path to get here and then back along the water channel and I went straight down the pipes back to Kinlochleven.
