fairy gardens

Yet another wild night and day. The wind roared all night. Everywhere is sodden. Today was dryer (a bit) and had moments of brightness but the strong winds were cold.

I mostly spent the day on the some of the last bits of seed orders, sourcing other supplies, and trying to find grass seed.
I learned that the Irish suppliers of native home-grown wildflower seeds are not allowed to sell seed for native grasses as they have not been certified by the EU. EU regs. And that local councils are fined if they sow anything other than home-grown native grasses. By the EU. World gone mad or what.

This is a tiny intricate fairy garden of mosses and lichens growing on apple branches.
