Rough with the smooth

DDW's January 2014 Challenge Day 29: Smooth

Had a bit of a tidy up this morning...just so I could make more stripping mess! Then an afternoon walk and for a change it was in the sunshine, not rain. Lots of comedy action from the dogs and PW to laugh with and keep my hand warm in his.

This old twisted and weathered tree is covered in lichen and moss and more recently some fungus. I liked how the rough gnarled bark has cracked and exposed the smooth trunk underneath.
