Frozen in Time?

A full and gentle day.
Short, productive time at the day job.
A very funny client.
Then a train journey into the dark of Scotland to watch a parents' evening in progress.

I got to Waverley to see if I could find any blip subjects and was not disappointed. This fellow reminded me of images of Whitehall mandarins. Sir Humphrey, perhaps?

Speaking of which, did you know that Thursday marked the 365th anniversary of the beheading of Charles I? This marked the only time (so far!) that England* was a republic.

Off to Glasgow on Friday to frolic. Oh, happy Friday!

* I said England deliberately because Scotland didn't agree with the execution and by 5 February had declared Charles II to be King of Great Britain.
