Sir Rowland Hill

My sister Mo moved to Kidderminster from Bromsgrove in October. This is my first visit to there home, which is lovely. They have have just finished getting it how they want it.

We went in to Kidderminster shopping centre this morning so I could have a look around as I have not been there before.

It is a good size and has maintained it's character by incorporating the carpets manufactures original buildings, by using them as part of the shopping centre which works well.

Sir Rowland Hill was an English teacher and a social reformer He campaigned for a comprehensive reform of the postal system, based on the concept of Uniform Penny Post and his solution of prepayment, facilitating the safe, speedy and cheap transfer of letters.

Hill later served as a government postal official, and he is usually credited with originating the basic concepts of the modern postal service, including the invention of the postage stamp.
