Crib Goch, Llyn Llydaw and Snowdon

We climbed Snowdon today, up the Snowdon Ranger Path and back down the Rhyd Ddu Path - a classic Snowdon horseshoe route.

The weather was fantastic - we were very lucky. We had clear views at the top, although the peak itself was pretty disappointing with crowds of people and a new cafe - much better than the old cafe but still not very nice. The whole peak has the feel of Blackpool about it.

I think the walk took us about 6 hours in total.

(I'm taking some stick here at the moment for blipping this panorama taken from where the Miner's Track meets the Llanberis Path rather than a picture of the group of us walking :-(. Note that the Snowdon Ranger Path meets the Llanberis Path a little below this point.)

This panorama was stitched together from 17 images using Hugin and then post-processed a little to improve the sky.
