Making a Donation:

We are experiencing problems with rain coming through the tower of our church and someone suggested we make an unusual appeal for donations.

We put a carrier of empty jam jars at the back of the church and invited people to take a jar and fill it will coins at the end of each day's shopping. I forgot to take one but felt sure I would have an empty jam jar at home. I had, but I found I had only a mint sauce jar (not very big) but I thought it would do - provided I filled it often enough!
