The Early Bird...................

Well the sun peeped through the curtains and the dog howled because my phone alarm, a barking dog, disturbed him. Wide awake so only course of action was to take him to the beach for a walk.

What a wonderful way to spend the very early part of a Sunday morning. The sky was bright blue, the sun really warm,, but the wind was very keen on the other side of the sand dunes.

Walked for miles, further than I have been for months. I was shocked to see the devastation cause to the sand dunes by the force of the North Sea. Whole swaths of vegetation has disappeared. A broken sign from the Heddon Scout Hut was an indication of how far some of the debris which now litters the beach has travelled. This being said, the salt marshes are teaming with wildlife, goldcrests, shelducks, little eagrets, brent geese, twite and loads of other creatures that were to far away to identify.

Today's Blip is a seagull, floating on the thermals. This is completely unedited. The sky really was this blue.
