Look North

not the regional TV news programme 'us northerners' love and know, but literally looking up the East Coast of England towards Scotland. This is taken from the Grotto Car Park, the harbour you can see is the Tyne at South Shields. A few Miles west of there is the city whose football team lost (Newcastle) to the team 5 miles south of there (Sunderland) on Saturday. I'm still enjoying that!
If you look very carefully you can see the smelter at Blyth on the horizon, and the Priory on the north side of the river is Tynemouth- not very imaginatively named!

If you can't guess I've been to see mum and dad for the day , and called in to see Mr H's mum and dad as well, so only a few minutes to get a couple of photos today. The A1 did seem to go on for ever this evening on the way home....
