Puffin!

Meet little Puffin, the Great White Egret that I've been hand rearing for the last five days. He fell out of a nest in the zoo grounds and we're now raising him to be part if the zoo collection. Most if the time the egrets and herons that fall from nests have too many injuries to be able to treat but little Puffin has faired ok. He has a ruptured air sac along the right side if his body which we are hoping will slowly resolve with time and some raven peck wounds on his rump, but otherwise he's doing great and eating like a trooper!
