Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Homework

Spent a lovely day in Glasgow on a work course - pure torture, hours of story telling and rhyme singing. As well as lots of fun and collecting new ideas we watched a short film that reminded us why it is so important to reach out to all mums and get them involved, between a neurologist explaining the importance to a child's brain development and a teacher talking about collecting vocabulary was a policeman who was extremely credible - new crime prevention initiative, cuddle your boy on your knee and read them a story. We just need access to all the poor mums who were never read a story and show them how it's done. It was one of those courses that filled me with so much enthusiasms that I was definitely going to start my next Story Time by standing in front of a group of strangers singing shake, shake all you sillies away - I'll let you know how that goes!

Josh was doing good things today and took part in Sign2Sing, raising money for a deaf charity, most of the signs he wanted to share with us were because they were mildly rude gestures - not surprised!
